ANNUAL REPORTS:
GENERAL INFORMATION:
MEDICAL CLINICS:
From our founding through 2011, we have provided tens of thousands of free examinations and essential medications to the under-served around the world. Our clinics have helped the poor in many at-risk communities around the globe.
While others are good at sending many multiples of teams, we focus on niche based response to areas of need that others may not be able to respond to. Our greatest asset is to practice the highest quality of medical mission. We adhere to international best practice standards. Window of Hope is expert at methods and process. We train others to practice both humanitarian and disaster medicine with the same high standards.
HUMANITARIAN PROGRAMS:
Window of Hope helps support an indigenous feeding program in South Africa. We also try to respond appropriately to meet material needs without hurting those we serve and by avoiding dependency or paternalism. In so doing, we fulfill our ministry vision…”Feeding the Hungry…Clothing the Naked… Treating the Sick.”
SPECIAL PROJECTS:
One of our greatest and most important projects involves a program called Home Based Care in the squatter camps of Soweto outside of Johannesburg, South Africa. These are shantytown slums where the standard of living is frightful. HIV/AIDS is a serious problem and in some locations a majority of citizens are infected. Through a collaborative effort with Pastor Johannes Mabunda and his faithful staff, we are funding a ministry providing home visits and nursing care in a hospice type outreach to the terminal AIDS patients of these communities. We also provide meals and a message of hope. In so doing, we acknowledge the dignity of these precious souls that many consider throw away people.
